Young scientists and research teams were awarded grants on Russian Science Day in Bashkortostan

Today, on February 8, the scientific community in Russia celebrates its professional holiday. In Bashkortostan the winners of scientific contest were honoured on this day. The Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Rustem Mardanov handed over republican grants for research and development to eight young scientists and 12 youth research teams. The material incentives for research and development this year were increased to 90 thousand rubles.
During the ceremony, it was noted that at present the development of science was regarded as one of the key sources of economic and social development of the country. The priorities are the integration of science and production.
Bashkortostan has a sufficiently developed scientific and educational complex: 69 organizations carry out research and development works, including the federal academic institutions, which are concentrated at Ufa Research Centre RAS. There are already advanced elaborations in the republic. First of all, they are related to the field of oil production technology, oil refining, oil transportation, superplasticity of metals, aviation and oil engineering, biology, biotechnology and social sphere.
At this contest about 200 papers were presented.
"If in 2010 five papers competed for one grant, in recent years, more than 10 works participate in the contest" cited figures the President of the Academy of Sciences Alfis Gayazov.
