Record number of housing was built in the second largest city of Bashkiria

A record number of housing was built in Sterlitamak last year, the second largest city of Bashkortostan — 118.5 thousand sq m. According to the press-centre of the republican State Committee for Construction and Architecture, more than 90 private and 17 apartment buildings, two kindergartens for 140 and 230 children, three large multi-functional shopping malls were commissioned.
Today the residential fund of the city is 5.8 million sq. m, the average housing provision per citizen — 21.3 sq. m. A school for 1000 children is under construction, a construction of another school for one thousand pupils is planned. The project of construction of combined school and kindergarten for 340 children in the Shahtau village is developed, the department reports.
