The Republic of Bashkortostan is ready to start exporting bees to China. This was stated by the Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov in an interview with "Industrial and Commercial Gazette" and the Russian Business Guide.
“Recently, we have started to work intensively on exporting Bashkir honey to China. Only for the last year, our manufacturers sent to China more than 100 tons of high-quality honey”, the Head of the Republic marked. “We are ready to discuss with our partners the Bashkir honey bees supply for bee raising. It is one more of our brands. By the way, Mongolia in recent years has purchased several hundred of bee colonies.”
Recall that at present time in Mongolia the tradition of beekeeping is actively revived. In 2009, between Bashkortostan and Mongolia a five-year contract for the supply of bees totaling 10 million rubles was signed. Since that time the Bashkir Research Centre on Beekeeping and Apitherapy four times delivered bee colonies to the country. Total about 2,000 bee colonies and about 1000 queen bees are sent to Mongolia. Bashkir bees showed the best results in terms of productivity compared with the Mongolian ones.
