Bashkortostan Ministry of Agriculture plans to increase industry indicators in 2016

The Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan plans to increase the number of indicators of the industry in 2016. Yesterday, at the meeting the head of the ministry Nikolai Kovalenko elaborated on the priorities and key areas facing the department and the industry in 2016.
It is supposed to increase performance by 35% in grain and leguminous crops, by 20% — in sugar beet, by 23% – in potatoes. Development of vegetable growing, construction of potato and vegetable stores will be continued. It is planned to increase productivity of livestock: meat by 30%, milk — by 3%. Due to the implementation of the grant program farmers and private households will be rendered support, including for the development of agricultural cooperation. It is scheduled to develop agricultural franchising for waterfowl and fur farming.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan within the framework of import substitution a republican program of new agricultural equipment, small machines, components, assemblies and spare parts production for the enterprises of the region is to be developed.
