State support for family farms increased by 1.8 times in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan, the total amount of federal funds allocated in 2015 for the development of family livestock farms increased by 1.8 times and amounted to 194 million rubles. Total in 2012 in support of this sphere 457 million rubles were allocated — 284 million rubles from the federal budget and 173 million from the regional.
"Grants for the organization of family cattle farms were directed to 167 farmers”, said the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan Rail Afzalov at the meeting in the State Assembly of the Republic. “As a result of the program implementation for four years participants have purchased 2259 heads of cattle, 459 horses, 1,803 sheep, 3,000 geese, as well as tractors and agricultural equipment".
The Ministry of Agriculture points out that every year the number of farms increases by 250-300 units. Small business in the village becomes attractive; farmers increased the acreage by more than 200 thousand hectares. As a result, there was a growth in the share of farmers’ production from 4.2% in 2011 to 10% in 2015.
