Quota for foreign workers is reduced in Bashkortostan

Compared to the previous year the size of the quotas for foreign workers is reduced in 2016. The need to attract foreign workers is set at 213,929 people, accounting for more than 77% of the needs identified for 2015.
The quota is set at more than 800 workers for the Republic of Bashkortostan, 280 of them are citizens of the Republic of Turkey. According to the Ministry of Labour RB, the existing contractual relationship with the citizens of Turkey (mainly in construction) will be extended in 2016 till completion of the construction works started.
In addition, since January 1, 2016 restrictions on foreign workers employment in some sectors of the economy are introduced. In the field of land passenger transport the number of migrants will decline from 50% to 40%, in the field of road freight transport — from 50% to 35%, in other areas — will remain unchanged.
