UFA, 18 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/.
In Russia, it is established the Federal National Cultural Autonomy (FNCA) of Bashkirs. The decision on its creation has just been adopted at the founding conference in Moscow. It is attended by representatives of the Government, the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Bashkir public and national organizations from around the country, representatives of science, culture and politics.
"Talking about preservation of language and culture — is certainly good, but not enough. Today it is important to see the right, legitimate and legally regulated sequence of actions. We will use this new structure for solving important problems", said the First Deputy Chairwoman of the Federation Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture Liliya Gumerova.
FNCA is a public association, which represents the union of Russian citizens, who consider themselves belonging to a particular ethnic group and being in a national minority in the territory outside of their historical homeland. Its purpose is to maintain the identity of the native national culture, language development, education and other spheres.
