UFA, 17 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/.
Bashkortostan is the only region in the country has been conducting elections of different levels for three consecutive years. It was noted by the CEC Deputy Chairman RF Leonid Ivlev at research and practice conference "The Election System of Modern Russia: Prospects for Development" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Central Election Commission of the republic.
"Last year in Bashkiria the elections of the Head of the Republic were held, this year — municipal elections, the next year elections in lower house of the national parliament are coming. The electoral system of the republic has established itself among the best in the country. Thus, the average turnout in Russia in the last election on September 13 of this year was 44%, in the republic — 75.1%. This is a good indicator, which testifies to the fact that the Central Election Commission has well-organized work of territorial and precinct election commissions", said Leonid Ivlev.
The representative of the Russian Central Election Commission said that the Election Commission of Bashkortostan one of the first in the country had completed the process of forming the new territorial election commissions – of 69 existing 64 were already formed. They will hold the 2016 elections to the National Parliament, in 2018 — the elections of the President of Russia, in 2019 – the Head of the Republic.
"In fact, the Central Election Commission RB has to work in quite difficult conditions. The republic has highly developed party system — it includes 57 regional branches of political parties. The developed media environment, the Internet environment — all these factors have a multidirectional impact on the electoral system", said the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission.
Leonid Ivlev handed over letters of thanks from the Russian Central Election Commission to employees of the CEC RB and republican territorial election commissions.
