Bashkortostan felt collection has won awards at "Ethno-Erato" Contest in Moscow

The "Kyshlau" felt collection by the "Ural" gallery of the republican folk art centre represented Bashkortostan at the third Eurasian Contest of High Fashion National Costume "Ethno-Erato". Bashkir designers works were highly appreciated and awarded the second prize in the category "Oriental Costume" and the main prize — "Golden Scissors" in the nomination "For Professionalism", the press service of the folk art centre reports.
The Eurasian Contest of High Fashion National Costume "Ethno-Erato" was held in the big hall of the Moscow City Government under the auspices of the Department of Interregional Cooperation, National Policy and Relations with Religious Organizations. The contest brought together leading couturiers and fashion designers from 39 regions of Russia and former Soviet republics: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Armenia.
The "Ethno-Erato" contest is demonstration of unique values of traditional ethnic costume combined with the trends of contemporary haute couture. The event is held to promote the study of national traditions in the clothes, formation of interest in culture and art of different nations.
