UFA, 4 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Ufa State Petroleum Technical University (USPTU) was visited by Ivan Bortnik, the founder of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Scientific and Technical Sphere. Here he held a meeting dedicated to the training of future engineers. It was attended by government representatives, heads of municipal centres of scientific and technical creativity, university professors and schoolchildren, who since September study engineering within the framework of the Youth Technopark USPTU.
Following the meeting, Ivan Bortnik recommended USPTU employees pay more attention to interdisciplinary studies and advised the pupils be engaged in a variety of sciences to seek solutions to engineering tasks at the interface of different disciplines.
During the meeting, there was also a session on joint work of USPTU and municipal youth scientific and technical structures in the Technopark. Educators and experts visited a number of workshops and laboratories that were available for schoolchildren as part of the Youth Technopark USPTU, discussed the possibilities of collaboration.
Currently, finishing works are under completion in the new four-storey building of the university, which in a few weeks will be ready to welcome young engineers. Faculties, departments and research centres are already now working with pupils and the Youth Technopark gladly awaits its new residents, the university representatives marked.
