UFA, 3 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/.
New and unique drawings are discovered in Shulgan-Tash Cave in Bashkortostan. Here, restoration works on cleaning from the modern inscriptions were carried out by Bashkir scientists together with their colleague from Andorra. A week later, on the walls of the cave other pictures were found: scientists saw geometric shapes and silhouettes of mammoths. It was another proof that the Paleolithic paintings of Shulgan-Tash are even more ancient. The experienced restorer from Andorra Giyame Anton Edal named the rock paintings of Bashkir cave the oldest drawings in the eastern part of the globe.
Recall that the Shulgan-Tash Cave is nominated for UNESCO World Heritage List. The work is funded by the grant of the Head of the republic.
On December 4, the participants of the project will tell about the outcome of the international expedition in the conference hall of the Bashinform News Agency.
