Inflation rate was 9.5% in Bashkortostan for nine months

In Bashkortostan, the inflation rate was 9.5% for nine months. This was reported on October 20 at a session of the Public Council under Bashkortostan Statistics Agency by the Head of the Price and Finance Statistics Department Venera Gainanova.
"In the first nine months of 2015 the rate of inflation in the republic amounted to 9.5%, which is 1.5 times higher than the last year (6.2%). The accelerated growth in prices for non-food products was the determining factor — increase in prices (10.6%) was higher than in 2014 (2.7%) almost four times. Growth rate in food and services price was as high as it was last year, and constituted 9% and 8.6%, respectively (8.1% and 9% in January-September last year),” marked Venera Gainanova. “The average inflation rate in Russia in January-September stood at 10.4%. In annual terms (September 2015 to September 2014) the index of consumer prices in the republic amounted to 114.6%, nationwide — 115.7%".
Among 276 cities basic for calculating the rate of inflation in Russia, cities of Ufa, Sterlitamak, Neftekamsk, Sibay were selected in the republic. They are most fully reflect the geographical features of the region and are located in different parts of it.
The inflation rate is measured by the total increase in prices for consumer goods and services and is one of the characteristics of the economy. As the main factor of inflation the consumer price index for goods and services is used.
