UFA, 21 October 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/.
Bashkortostan hotels will work according to new general federal requirements. Common rules for the provision of hotel services are approved by the Russian Government, and shall come into force since October 21, 2015. Previous hotel rules approved in 1997 are no longer in force. This was reported in the State Committee RB for Entrepreneurship and Tourism with reference to the Federal portal for small and medium-sized businesses.
The document clearly sets forth a procedure of rooms booking. Hotels can perform two types of booking: guaranteed and non-guaranteed. In the first case, a hotel has to wait a guest for a day after the scheduled arrival. And if the customer is late or does not appear, he will have to pay for the cost of the room accommodation. The size of such payment is limited to the cost of the first night stay. The resolution also clarifies the concept of "check-in and check-out time". It is time that the hotel established for the arrival and departure of guests. The document emphasizes that the room cost must be the same for all consumers. An exception can be made for guests who relate to the privileged categories of citizens. The new rules contain a complete list of services that the hotel has to provide the guest with no extra charge. Duties and responsibilities of both the hotel and their guests are defined more clearly in the rules of providing hotel services. The Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service) will supervise the compliance with the requirements established by the Government of the country.
