Russians have shared information on their savings and forecast for dollar rate

According to opinion polls, a majority of Russians (57%) prefer to keep their savings in rubles. This figure is close to the annual maximum, which was fixed in May — 58%.
The survey shows that few of our fellow citizens keep their savings in dollars and euros — the average figure is 4% and 2%, respectively. The US currency is favoured by the residents of capital cities — 12%, and people with high incomes — 12%.
The number of people, which have no savings decreased compared with the last year — from 49% to 40%. Most often these are people with low incomes — 50%, less educated — 48%, rural residents — 47%.
As to the forecast of the dollar rate, 53% of Russians believe that the US currency in three months will cost 69 rubles, and according to the estimate of 39% respondents in a year its price will be the same — 69 rubles.
According to the Central Bank, the dollar exchange rate as of today is 63 rubles 12 kopecks, euro — 72 rubles.
