Moscow journalists were told about First Small Business Forum of the SCO and BRICS to be held in Ufa

In Moscow at the Mission of Bashkortostan Republic under the Russian President a press conference devoted to the forthcoming first Forum "Small Business of Regions of SCO and BRICS Member-States" was held. The Forum will be held in Ufa on October 21-23, 2015. Thus the Ufa forum will be a unique event on a global scale — it will be carried out with participation of delegations from all the SCO and BRICS countries and for the first time to be carried out in the R2R format (region to region). According to preliminary data, it will be attended by delegations from 15 countries and 31 regions of Russia. In the future it is expected to make it an annual event.
The press conference in Moscow was attended by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Forum, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Dmitry Sharonov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Arthur Shaynurov, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce RB Azat Fazlyev, Executive Secretary of the SCO Business Council Sergey Kanavsky, Director of the Department for Entrepreneurship and Service of Commerce and Industry Chamber RF Anna Palagina, Counselor of the Embassy of Pakistan in Russia Ata Shahid Ul Munim, Executive Director of the Association of Computer and Information Technologies of Russia Nikolay Komlev, and others.
According to the Chairman of the Forum Organizing Committee Dmitry Sharonov the R2R format (region to region), by analogy with the usual business meetings B2B for the first time was suggested by the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov during his speech at a meeting of the Business Council of BRICS in Brazil in 2014. This idea was supported during the SCO and BRICS Summits carried out in Ufa in July 2015. It is expected that the Ufa Economic Forum will be attended by 700 delegates, including heads of small and medium business in Russia and foreign countries, representatives of business associations and governments, leaders of the expert community, official foreign and regional delegations of the SCO and BRICS countries.
Eight discussion panels, "contact fair" and exhibition of investment projects and achievements of small businesses of the SCO and BRICS will operate within its framework. They will focus on best regional practices of these countries in the field of legislative support for small business, financial and infrastructural support of small businesses, development of key vectors of cooperation between regions of the SCO and BRICS, technology parks and clusters development. As a result of the two-day work recommendations of the forum participants to the authorities and business communities of the SCO and BRICS with concrete proposals on how to develop cooperation will be made.
