On October 1, at the House of the Government the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov held a meeting with rectors of universities and heads of industrial enterprises of the region. Issues of convergence of science and industry, introduction of domestic innovations and technologies, as well as creating innovative technopolis in Ufa were discussed there.
The Head of the Republic said that republican enterprises were not engaged a lot in import substitution issues.
According to Rustem Khamitov, the universities, in turn, need to promote their developments more actively.
“You should be more assertive, more active; you should offer normal, good things, technology, developments. You can’t do it otherwise.”
Creation of a technopolis in Ufa will contribute to the convergence of science and industry, in the formation of which all the parties concerned should be involved.
The Rector of Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M. Akmulla, the Chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rail Asadullin told about a creation of the Network University of Bashkortostan based on the principles of dual education, and about the prospects for its interaction with academic institutions and industry.
The Rector of the Bashkir State University Nikolay Morozkin cited positive examples of joint activities of the university and industrial organizations in advanced training of highly qualified specialists. First of all, it concerns foreign enterprises, as domestic manufacturers practically do not take part in such cooperation.
The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov called the unacceptable situation when industrialists having considerable financial and material resources ignored the long-term research and development of domestic science schools and entirely relied on imported technology.
The Head of the Union of Employers RB Vladimir Sholom spoke about small participation of enterprises in the organization of technology parks and centres of multiple access.
“Such large innovative venues as prototyping centre, the centre of multiple access, the centre of youth innovative creativity are created in Bashkortostan,” said Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Dmitry Sharonov. “Of these, the most powerful and popular is a small-scale petrochemical cluster. Others, such as electronic and biotechnology clusters were left unnoticed by our universities.”
“We need to discuss these issues constantly, promote the topic of science and industry interaction”, concluded Rustem Khamitov.
