Food prices rose by nine percent in Bashkortostan since the beginning of the year

In Bashkortostan since the beginning of 2015, food prices rose by 9%, in the Volga Federal District – by 9.3%, in Russia — by 9.8%. According to official statistics, the annual consumer price inflation in the republic in August 2015 compared to August 2014 developed at 114.5%, the average for the Russian Federation — 115.8%. These data were presented by the Deputy Prime Minister Ildar Timergalin at the session of the Headquarters under the Government of Bashkortostan on October 1.
The Headquarters is engaged also in constant monitoring of basic food products prices quickly responding to any cases of unjustified changes.
"More than a year has been passed since the introduction of an embargo on import of certain types of products was introduced. During this period, our efforts were aimed at mobilizing domestic food resources, increasing marketability of agricultural produce and creation of conditions for further development of our production”, said Ildar Timergalin. “The republic is working to promote local goods. Conditions for sale of agricultural and food products through retail structure are created. Trading places at fairs are increased, farmers' markets are created. Work is continued to form the "Product of Bashkortostan" republican trading chain.”
At the session the issues of balanced commodity markets and prevention of the accelerated growth of agricultural products prices, raw materials and food products prices in the region were considered.
