Schoolgirl murder suspect was not released on parole – Directorate of Federal Penitentiary Service in Bashkiria

The Directorate of Federal Penitentiary Service in Bashkortostan denied the recent information in media that the suspect in murder of 11-year-old schoolgirl Alexander Valetkin had been released on parole.
"The 36-year-old Ufa resident was sentenced to prison four times — for theft, assault, twice for rape. In all cases, he was freed after serving the term. The parole was not applied", commented on the information in the department.
The persistent offender was released in 2013; he was under administrative supervision for a period of eight years.
On September 21, a body of the fifth grader Violetta Tokarchuk was found in garages near the school No. 96. On September 24, the police detained the suspect. The murder investigation continues.
