Elderly residents of Bashkortostan are invited to take part in the competition "Thanks to the Internet"


UFA, 8 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. Elderly Internet users from Bashkiria are invited to participate in the All-Russian competition of personal achievement of senior citizens in the study of computer literacy — "Thanks to the Internet — 2015". The competition is held to promote the theme of training senior citizens and people with disabilities, access to social and public services. Organizers of the contest are OJSC "Rostelecom" with the support of the Pension Fund of Russia and the Russian Association of Electronic Communications.

To take part in the competition seniors having passed computer training courses should fill an application form on the website www.azbukainterneta.ru and post materials (essays in a Word file and two photos) by selecting an appropriate nomination and a region before October 1, 2015.

In addition to the winners a region most actively working with pensioners in terms of computer training will be determined in each category. According to the organizing committee of the competition, the applications for participation were received from 52 regions of Russia. The most active of them are Nizhny Novgorod, Tver, Rostov, Orenburg region. The Republic of Bashkortostan is currently represented by only two competitors.

Presentation of prizes to the winners of the competition will be held in the framework of the Russian Interactive Week at the Moscow Expocentre on October 21-23.
