Bashkir athletes will try to win the Aba Gureşi Wrestling World Cup in Turkey

On September 13, the Turkish city of Antakya hosts the sixth Aba Gureşi Wrestling World Cup. The competition will be attended by representatives of Bashkortostan — winners of republican and Russian championships Ilnur Ahmetvaliev, Ilshat Bashirov, Aivar Sadretdinov, Ilmir Kutluguzhin, Aydar Mahiyanov. The team leader is Robert Davletshin. Bashkir athletes attends the Aba Gureşi Wrestling World Cup for the fourth time — in 2013 Kurmangazy Shamuhanov won the honourary second place.
This year, 30 athletes from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, the countries of Europe, as well as the regions of Russia — Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Sakha-Yakutia, Daghestan and Crimea are invited to the competition. The wrestlers will compete in the weight categories of 60, 70, 80, 90 and 90 plus kg. The winners will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.
