A number of visa centres will suspend accepting applications for Schengen visas in Ufa
UFA, 31 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/.
In Ufa a number of visa centres will suspend accepting applications for Schengen visas. This will be due to the fact that since September 14, all applicants will have to undergo the process of fingerprint scanning.
From September 10 to 11, the German visa application centre will not accept applications, Italian - from September 9 to 11, Austrian — from September 8 to 11. Issuance of passports will take place as usual.
Since September 14, the rules for filing documents for the issue of entry visas to member countries of the Schengen agreement will change. Now, an applicant should mandatory arrive at visa application centres in person for taking biometric data (fingerprints and a digital photograph) to get a visa. In the future, for five years — that is how long the data will be stored in the unified European information system VIS — visas will be issued in the same order, including without personal visit to the consulate or a visa application centre.
