Russian Philosophical Congress will be held in Ufa

In Ufa, the 7th Russian Congress of Philosophy will be held from October 6 to 10. It is expected that about 1,000 Russian and foreign representatives of the scientific community will gather in the Bashkir capital. Renowned scientists of the world are invited for participation, Bashkir State University reports (university is one of the organizers of the event). More than 1450 scientists from China, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Iran, Israel, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Spain, Bulgaria, Belgium and Ukraine have already filed applications for participation. The Congress will feature many philosophical societies, associations, unions and organizations of Russia and Bashkortostan.
The Russian Philosophical Congress is held once in three years. Six previous congresses were held in St. Petersburg (1997), in Yekaterinburg (1999), Rostov on Don (2002), Moscow (2005), Novosibirsk (2009) and Nizhny Novgorod (2012).
The theme of the congress is "Philosophy. Tolerance. Globalization. East and West — Dialogue of Worldviews". The program includes plenary sessions, symposia, round tables and meetings with the participation of well-known scientists, philosophers. It is planned to discuss the following topics: modern trends of the urban environment development, education and national security, environmental ethics and ecological civilization, culture of inter-ethnic relations, topical issues of modern science, secular and religious culture in modern Russia.
The forum organizers are Russian Philosophical Society (SFA), Administration of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Bashkir State University, Bashkir Academy of Public Service and Management under the President RB, Institute of Philosophy.
