Mikhail Babich discussed cooperation issues between Volga Federal District regions and Chinese Hubei Province in the format of "Volga -Yangtze"

The trade-economic and humanitarian cooperation between the Volga Federal District and the Province of Hubei in the format of "Volga-Yangtze" was discussed by the Russian Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich with the Governor of the Province Wang Goshen. Mikhail Babich is on his working trip to China. Bashkortostan in the delegation is represented by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Rustem Mardanov.

Wang Goshen said that Hubei paid special attention to cooperation with the regions of the Volga Federal District in the format of "Volga-Yangtze". He expressed confidence that the visit of the delegation would give a new impetus to development of relations.

During the visit, the Russian delegation opened the House of the Russian-Chinese Cultural Exchange at the former Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Church. The delegation, composed of representatives of the all regions of the Volga Federal District, visited the company engaged in development of laser technology LLC Huagun and met with representatives of the business community of Hubei Province.

The Presidential Envoy to the Volga Federal District thanked the leadership of the Province and the city for their efforts on restoring a unique monument of Russian-Chinese relations — building of the Orthodox Church of Alexander Nevsky in Wuhan, marked a special significance for the Russian delegation of laying a wreath at the monument to the Soviet pilots in Liberation Park.
