UFA, 16 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/. All infrastructure projects that will be implemented in the territory of the BRICS countries should be considered through the prism of "green standards". The Ministry of Ecology of Bashkortostan intends to offer this initiative to the BRICS bank through the Federal Ministry of Finance. The Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Bashkortostan Ildar Hadyev reported this at a press conference in Bashinform News Agency.
“Probably, an operator will be created or intergovernmental body which will be engaged in it. All the funding that goes through the BRICS for infrastructure projects should pass through the "sieve" of green standards. In my opinion, this is a sign of responsibility of all BRICS countries”, the director of "Centre of Green Standards" Rashid Ismailov says.
“We need to capitalize the results of the Summits”, Ildar Hadyev said. “Of course, this means the continuation of environmentally friendly technologies application in all areas in which the government is interested. If we intend to solve environmental problems, to bring in such initiative is our right and duty.”
