Bashkiria takes the 12th place in terms of housing per capita in Volga Federal District

In terms of housing per capita Bashkortostan takes the 12th position with an index of 23.7 sq m of total housing per capita among 14 regions of the Volga Federal District. A regional body of the Federal State Statistics Service published such data as of the end of 2014. Over the last year this figure increased by 2.6%.
The top three Volga regions includes Saratov Region (27.1 sq m per capita), Penza region (26.5) and Mordovia. The rating is completed by Udmurt Republic (21.2) and the Perm region (22.1).
The available housing of Bashkortostan at the end of the last year amounted to 96.7 million sq m of total area. It increased by 2.7 million sq m compared to the year 2013. The area of dilapidated housing amounts to 1.15 million sq m, or 1.2% of the total housing stock. During the year of 2014, 64 thousand sq m of housing were demolished due to their dilapidation.
