UFA, 14 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/.
On July 15, at 15.00 Ufa townspeople and guests are invited to the capital of Bashkortostan for the opening ceremony of the new "Vatan" Ethnopark in Ufa amphitheatre (the lower platform of the Congress Hall). The Ethnopark will run for two months, until September15.
The "Vatan" Ethnopark is one of the most exciting projects realized for the guests of the SCO and the BRICS Summits held in Ufa. It was here where foreign guests got acquainted with national customs and culture of Bashkirs and achievements of the republic during the SCO and BRICS Summits.
The main attraction of the park is an "ethno-village" project. The complex consists of seven yurts, which reflect the identity of the whole region. Here folk musicians, singers and dancers perform, craftsmen demonstrate their artworks. The way of life of Bashkirs is displayed in the first yurt: chests, rugs, household items used in everyday use by indigenous inhabitants of the republic. The second yurt is dedicated to traditional crafts: felting, woodcarving, kumis (mare's milk) making. In the third, visitors can learn about the richness of our subsoil. In the fourth yurt the nature of the region is presented, its riches, honey, kumis. The fifth yurt is an area of tolerance: the region is known for a long tradition of friendship between the peoples uniting of more than 100 of them. In the following yurt the guests will be able to try on national costumes, take pictures in them, to participate in the ceremonies. The last yurt will feature the architectural future of Ufa.
According to the organizers, a universal and open format of the facility enables to create a unique attraction centre for locals and visitors. The operator of the "Vatan" Ethnopark project is Urban Projects Development Fund. The detailed information about the Ethnopark is available on its official website.
