UFA, 2 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/.
On July 9, Ufa will host the 4th BRICS Trade Union Forum. The Forum will be held in the House of Trade Unions of Bashkortostan. It will be attended by about 40 representatives of the largest national trade union centres of the participating countries. On the agenda there is discussion of international economic and social situation, as well as development of trade union position on topical issues submitted to the BRICS Summit, which will be held in the capital of Bashkortostan on the same day, the press service of the Federation of Trade Unions RB reports.
The morning session will consider a draft declaration of the forum. It will cover general objectives of the trade unions of countries, where almost half of the world's population live. After adoption the declaration will be handed over to heads of states participating in the BRICS Summit. By tradition, a delegation of trade union leaders will meet with the President of the state presiding in this informal international association.
The Trade Union Forum will be attended by representatives of the BRICS International Trade Union Confederation — the world's largest association of national trade union centres, as well as representatives of the International Labour Organization — the most effective specialized agency of the United Nations, which is dedicated to the regulation of labour relations.
The plenary session of the forum, in addition to reports of trade union centres of the participating countries, will feature presentations of representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The forum will be attended by representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions RB and regional trade unions.
It is expected that thirteen most representative labour organizations from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will take part in the sessions of the BRICS Trade Union Forum 2015. The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, uniting in its sectoral trade unions nearly 23 million members, organized the 4th Trade Union Forum. The Chairman of the Federation Mikhail Shmakov will deliver a report at the plenary session.
