Rosstat has launched a website for Russian Agricultural Census 2016

The Rosstat (Federal State Statistics Service) has launched a website for Russian Agricultural Census 2016. Exactly one year before the start of large-scale campaign, on July 1, 2015, the official website of the press centre of the All-Russian Agricultural Census starts operating. The portal will present the latest news about the preparations for the census, Bashkortostan Statistics Agency informs.
The All-Russian Agricultural Census will be held from July 1 to August 15, and in remote and in hard to access areas — from September 15 to November 15, 2016.
The census will cover all multistructural Russian agriculture. It will be applied to all agricultural producers — from private farm holdings, summer cottage residents, gardeners to farmers and large agricultural enterprises.
The most state-of-the-art technology will be widely used to collect the information — a Rosstat system of statistics web-collecting via the Internet, as well as tablet computers to save the respondents' answers by census takers.
In addition to technical innovations, there are changes in the census questionnaire. It is replenished with new items — use of advanced farming methods, loans attraction, budget subsidies and grants obtaining. The completeness and accuracy of the responses, the activity of participants of the census will directly affect the quality of the resulting data, and further the effectiveness of the agrarian policy of the government at all levels.
Preliminary results of the census should be announced in the IV quarter of 2017, the final results — in the IV quarter of 2018.
