First transmitter of digital terrestrial television will start operating in Bashkortostan

The first transmitter of RTRS digital terrestrial television network in the Republic of Bashkortostan will start working in Beloretsk on July 2.
The first transmitter will broadcast a signal from a new 75-metre-high television tower in Beloretsk. Due to the beginning of its operation 10 public television channels included in the RTRS-1 package (first multiplex), will be available to 75 thousand inhabitants of Beloretsk region. In addition to the 10 public television channels of the first multiplex, eventually 10 popular channels included in the RTRS-2 package (second multiplex) will be available for residents of the region.
The RTRS republican digital television network will total 216 broadcast points that are built from scratch. TV network will become one of the largest regional networks in the country in the number of objects. Currently, the RTRS branch in Bashkortostan is constructing 64 facilities that will cover more than 60% of the population with the digital signal. Total coverage of Bashkortostan inhabitants with the All-Russian generally accessible optional channels of the first multiplex will be 95%.
Infrastructure of digital terrestrial television in Bashkortostan will become part of RTRS digital terrestrial television network, which is being built across the country in accordance with the federal target program "Development of TV and radio broadcasting in the Russian Federation in 2009-2015".
