Young athletes of Bashkiria arrived in the Netherlands at the International Children Games-2015

Young athletes from Bashkiria arrived in the Netherlands at the International Children Games-2015. This year they are held in the city of Alkmaar. 27 athletes from the cities of Ufa and Tuymazy will compete for medals in volleyball, athletics, gymnastics, judo and swimming. They are accompanied by their coaches; the delegation is headed by the Ufa administration deputy head Syntimir Bayazitov, the press service of the city administration informs.
On the first day the athletes were accommodated in the Olympic Village. On the same day accreditation and registration of the participants was held, as well as an informal meeting of the heads of delegations, where it became known that the International Children Games -2018 would be held in the city of Jerusalem.
Today, on June 25, workouts of gymnasts, judoists and volleyball players will take place. In the evening, the opening ceremony of the Games will be held. The competition will last until June 30.
The International Children's Games are held since 1968 with the support of the International Olympic Committee. Already 48 Summer and six Winter Games were carried out, which were attended by representatives from all over the world, total — more than 32 thousand children from 332 cities and 74 countries. The feature of the Games is that their participants are not national teams but the teams of the cities. Recall that in 2013 the capital of Bashkortostan hosted the Winter International Children's Games.
