BSU get free access to two major scientific databases

Bashkir State University (BSU) obtained a free access to two largest databases of science citation: Scopus and Web of Science. The access to the databases is only possible via a BSU local network and will last from July 1 to December 31, 2015, the press-centre of the university reports.
Scopus is the world's largest single abstract database that indexes more than 20,000 journals, and contains author profiles with information about the author and the evaluation of his scientific activities.
Web of Science (WOS) is a recognized polythematic reference-bibliographic and scientometric (bibliometric) database. The Web of Science covers materials on natural, technical, social sciences, humanities and arts. The platform has a built-in search, analysis and management of bibliographic information.
Currently, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation considers data from Scopus and Web of Science as criteria for the all-Russian system of universities effectiveness evaluating.
