UFA, 9 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency/.
The Republic of Bashkortostan is a progressively developing region of the Russian Federation with a diversified economy and stable social relations. Effectiveness of public and municipal services acquires a particular importance in order to prevent a decline in living standards, recession in industrial and agricultural production. This was the subject of an interview of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov to the magazine "Gosudarstvennaya Sluzhba" (Civil Service).
Assessing the current challenges and emerging crisis phenomena, the Head of the Republic said that "the crisis, as well as any disease should be treated consistently and steadfastly. In particular this applies to the strengthening of the management system, and especially its basis — the civil service, which, in my understanding, is a kind of "immune" system of the state body".
The Head of Bashkortostan shared in the interview with his understanding of the correct management structure, the role and importance of municipal and public service in the country.
"At the beginning of my work in Bashkortostan, I clearly realized that it was necessary to abandon an authoritarian governance model, especially in public service, and to try involving my colleagues in the process of generating and implementing new ideas and proposals. Government bodies should turn to needs and problems of people, not only to the execution of orders and instructions", Rustem Khamitov said. The Head of the Republic gave detailed answers to questions about the situation in the public sector, about local government, its role in the governance of the country, about public service jobs, a possibility of the job cuts, about Bashkortostan readiness to host the international SCO and BRICS Summits.
