The Bashkir strongman Elbrus Nigmatullin with his Crimean colleague Jamshid Ismatillaev moved a ferry weighing 2,000 tons for 10 metres. Thus, the athletes set a new world record.
The place of this unusual event was the seaport of Kerch. Elbrus Nigmatullin, who has a number of power records, this time worked together with his Crimean colleague — a candidate for master of sports in powerlifting Jamshid Ismatillaev. Together strongmen managed to move the ferry for 10 metres, the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the Chelyabinsk region informs.
The car ferry "Glikofiluosa-III» weighs 1,200 tons, so 17 large-tonnage trucks were loaded on it to increase its weight.
The master of sports in powerlifting and arm-wrestling, vice-champion of the competition "World's Strongest Man 2005", four-time winner of the tournament "The Strongest Man of Russia" Elbrus Nigmatullin set several world records that were entered in the Guinness Book. The hero has just recently demonstrated another achievement — he moved a house in the city of Chelyabinsk at the end of May.
