In Bashkortostan inflation slowed down to 0.2% in May

Inflation in Bashkortostan amounted to 0.2% in May compared to April, in Russia as a whole – to 0.4%. This is the lowest figure since the beginning of the year. The inflation reduction trend is kept month after month in the current year, according to the materials of the territorial body of Federal State Statistics Service.
Since the beginning of the year, inflation in the republic amounted to 7.4% (in January-May last year — 4.1%). Year-on-year (May 2015 to May 2014) it developed at 14.7% (in Russia — 15.8%).
According to statistics, the main factor curbing inflation in May was relative stabilization and reduction of prices for some foodstuffs. Prices for non-foods and services grew with slower rates than in previous months.
The May consumer price index in the regions of the Volga Federal District ranged from 99.9% in the Kirov region to 100.5% in Tatarstan.
