UFA, 8 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. For two days Ufa will become an open discussion platform for the global and Russian "left" political thought. Bashkir Academy of Public Service and Management hosts the International Research-To-Practice Conference "Anti-Crisis Policy and Experience of the Left" on June 15-16.
Bashkir Academy organizes a discussion club with the Institute of Globalization and Social Movements (Moscow) with support of Rosa Luxemburg Foundation (Germany). The conference will be attended by prominent Russian politicians — Boris Kagarlitsky, Oleg Barabanov, Andrey Koryakovtsev, Anna Ochkina, as well as foreign politicians. The American economist, adviser to the government of Greece James K. Galbraith and the journalist, leftist activist, the leader of the party organization "Union of Socialists" in the state of South Australia, the regular contributor to the «Green Left Weekly» Renfrew Clark are invited at the conference.
Particular attention will be paid to the analysis of national and global policy in the situation of global economic and geopolitical crisis. Among the urgent topics proposed by the organizers of the conference are prospects of political identity search and adaptation of the left movement ideology in the context of current challenges and necessity to achieve public consent. The participants will discuss topical issues of forms, methods and vectors of the protest movement in Russia and the world, will touch on the issues of interaction between the leftist movement with the centrists and right-wing parties in overcoming the economic and socio-political problems of our time.
