Real number of unemployed is almost five times higher than registered in Bashkortostan employment service

The total number of unemployed in the republic, which is determined according to the methodology of the International Labour Organization (ILO), is 4.9 times higher than the number of unemployed registered with state employment services, Bashkortostan Statistics Agency informs.
As of the beginning of April, 25.9 thousand people were registered in the employment service, while the number of unemployed people according to ILO methodology was 128 thousand people. Compared with data in 2014, the unemployment increased — by 6.1% and 6.5%, respectively. In the first quarter, unemployment benefits were received by 25.2 thousand people in Bashkortostan.
According to ILO methodology, the unemployed include people aged 15-72 years who in the period under review had no job or other gainful employment, were seeking for a job and were ready to be employed.
