Holiday devoted to International Children's Day took place in Ufa

On June 1 in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov visited Lenin Park, where a citywide festival "Friendship of the Children of the World!" dedicated to the International Children's Day took place.
The Head of the Republic visited creative, sports, gaming, and educational venues, organized by children's institutions of supplementary education, and talked with the students of Children's Music School No. 1.
On the central stage of the park there was a concert of children's vocal, dance and folk ensembles of Ufa. The holiday was closed with the all-Russian «Friendship Round Dance», which united about two thousand children.
551.9 thousand families with about 850 thousand children live in Bashkortostan. Of the total number of families 46.3 thousand (8.4 percent) are large families, having three or more children (154.6 thousand children).
In 2014, more than 60.5 thousand children were born in the republic, which is by 2.1 percent more than in 2013. The total birth rate by the end of 2014 was 14.9 per 1 000 population. Bashkortostan ranks first among the regions of the Volga Federal District on this indicator and 20th — in Russia. 2648 children live and are brought up in boarding schools for orphans and children left without parental care.
