Ufa will be visited by heads of medical and pharmaceutical universities of SCO countries

Next week Ufa will be visited by the leaders of medical and pharmaceutical universities of SCO member states. The visit of the delegation will be held within the Week of Health of the participating countries of the SCO and BRICS.
The press centre of Bashkir State Medical University reports that the program of the week is extensive and interesting. On May 28, the State Concert Hall "Bashkortostan" will host a joint meeting of the Council of Rectors of medical and pharmaceutical universities of Russia and the Russian-Chinese Association of Medical Universities. The topic of discussion will be further international cooperation of universities of Russia and China in the direction of "medical education". On May 25, scientific and practical conferences, workshops, breakout sessions on topical issues of pediatric dentistry, medical education, dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, radiology and nuclear medicine will be held at various venues in the city.
The key themes of the Week of Health of the participating countries of the SCO and BRICS will be prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The international scientific-practical conference "Cardiovascular disease — from prevention to intervention" to be held in "Bashkortostan" State Concert Hall on May 29, will be devoted to this topical issue.
Among the participants are: the rector of Harbin Medical University, known pharmacologist, Professor Emeritus of universities in the USA, Australia and Russia Baofen Yang, chief specialist cardiologist of the Russian Ministry of Health Irina Chazova, the leading specialists – cardiologists of medical universities of Russia and China.
The program of the week includes an exhibition-presentation of innovative medical technologies with participation of the leading manufacturers from Bashkortostan, Russia, China, Germany, Japan and the USA.
