Official opening of the new international terminal of Ufa Airport was held

On May 4, an official opening ceremony of the new terminal at Ufa International Airport was held, which was attended by Ministers of Transport of the states-members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
The ceremony was attended by SCO Secretary General Dmitry Mezentsev, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Batash Mohammadulla, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Sivak, Minister of Transport of the People's Republic of China Yang Chuantang, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Argynbek Malabaev, Minister of Roads and Transport of Mongolia Namkhai Tumurhuu, Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Gandzhalzoda, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Joint-Stock Railway Company "Uzbekistan Railways" Davron Dekhanov and other officials.
“The airport is among the top ten in the country. I am confident that the new terminal complex, the new infrastructure, with significant budget funds of the Russian Federation, which have been invested and will be invested in the coming years, will give a dynamic impetus to the development of air transportation of this wonderful and hospitable region,” Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov said.

After cutting a symbolic red ribbon, guests of the republic visited the departure and arrival halls and examined the infrastructure of the new international terminal.
Recall that there are two floors in the renovated terminal building. All operations related to the luggage handling are carried out on the ground floor, where the arrival zone is also located (passport and customs control). On the first floor there are green and red corridors of customs control, passport control, common security area and a departure lounge for international flights.
Three boarding bridges capable of servicing all types of aircrafts are also installed in the new terminal.
