UFA, 17 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/. It is impossible to sustain real competition with 4500 kg of milk yield per cow a year, it is necessary to raise this level, set ambitious goals and try to reach not less than 6,500 kg of milk, the Agriculture Minister Nikolay Fedorov said during a working visit to agribusinesses of Bashkortostan.
After the meeting in Ufa airport Nikolay Fedorov, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Nikolay Kovalenko went to Karmaskaly region, LLC "Artemida", where they examined the dairy farm and talked with young professionals.
As the company's director Yevgeny Pozhidaev explained, LLC "Artemida" was created in 1991 by merging of four farms. Currently, the economy has more than 20 thousand hectares of farmland, of which 16.4 thousand are arable land.
Guests visited the new complex, where Holstein cows are kept. They were imported from the Netherlands, Poland, and the Tula region. Currently, 84 calves are born per one hundred of cows. Today the "Artemida" livestock complex contains 1,063 heads, with a designed capacity of 1400. There are reserves for growth, but the company ran into some financial problems.
“Our bank, where we took a loan, today announced an increase of the interest rate by 1 percent”, the farmer told Nikolay Fedorov. “This is 3.5 million rubles a year, at the same time we do not profit more than 34 million rubles a year, we pay annually to banks about 50 million rubles on credit obligations.”
Nikolay Fedorov said that in the near future banks will be advised not to revise interest rates in the light of lowering the key rate by the Central Bank.
Besides the problems with the banks, the company, like many other in dairy production, faced with the collapse of purchasing prices for milk.
After a visit to the "Artemida" company guests went to the fields of the Agrofirm named after Cjurupy in Ufa district, where communicated with the director. In addition, they visited the state farm "Alexeevsky", where they saw the calf house, dairy farm, a greenhouse for growing tomatoes.
