UFA, 16 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/.
The Kurai flower selected by residents of Bashkortostan as a "green symbol" of the republic, including other Russian plants will be planted in the "Alley of Russia" park in Vladivostok. This was reported on the website of All-Russian campaign "Alley of Russia".
The project was an initiative of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment RF and the Foundation to promote environmental protection "Priroda". It involves the creation throughout the country park areas with plants, trees and shrubs, which reflect the uniqueness and individuality of each region of our country.
Vladivostok is among the three cities in which the first "Alleys of Russia" will appear. At the suggestion of the Organizing Committee, the Campus Park of Innovation Centre "Skolkovo" in Moscow and Victory Park in Sevastopol also were chosen as pilot areas for the project.
"Green Symbols" of the regions were defined in 2014 on the basis of nationwide online poll, in which more than 3.5 million people took part.
The establishing of park in Vladivostok is scheduled for August 2015 as part of the Eastern Economic Forum with the participation of Russian and foreign guests.
