Rustem Khamitov inspected the new international terminal at Ufa Airport

On April 10, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov inspected the new terminal of Ufa International Airport, which welcomed its first passengers departing to Hurghada (Egypt). The Head of the Republic visited the departure and arrival halls, as well acquainted with the infrastructure of the terminal.
According to the Head of the Region, the terminal construction cost the republican budget almost 1.5 billion rubles. However, the specific cost of the project (less than 100 thousand rub. / sq.m) was one of the lowest in Russia.
Rustem Khamitov said that the opening ceremony of the international terminal would be held in May 2015, when in Ufa a meeting of transport ministers of the SCO state members and the Conference of the BRICS countries on exchanging experience in transport support of international sporting events to be held.
The building of the renovated terminal has two floors. All operations related to the processing of luggage are carried out on the first floor, there is also a zone of passenger arrival service (passport and customs control) there. On the second floor there are green and red corridors of customs control, passport control, common security area and the departure lounge of international flights.
The terminal finger is adjacent to the building. Fixed air bridges are located perpendicular to it. The three additional air bridges are installed in the new terminal capable of servicing all types of aircrafts.
