As the administrator of the Bashkir Wikipedia Rustam Nuriyev informs, "Wikimedia RU" announced a photo contest "Wiki Loves Earth 2015". The contest is held in the framework of the international contest «Wiki Loves Earth 2015" and is dedicated to natural monuments in the territory of Russia. The contest was first held by the Ukrainian organization Wikimedia in 2013. In the second year the contest was supported by 15 countries, and this year it is expected participation of at least 18 countries. The Russian part of the photo contest is held for the first time, although initially the idea of the contest was proposed by "Wikimedia RU". The lists of natural objects participating in the contest are already available. This is more than 19 thousand natural monuments in all Russian regions.
The Russian part of the photo contest will be held from May 1 to 31 2015. The contest will be hosted on the website of "Wikimedia RU" with the technical support by Wikisklad (storage media) and "Wikiguide" (free guide). The «GEO» magazine is one of the partners of the contest.
According to the results of the national contest 10 photographs will be selected for the international stage of the contest.
