UFA, 3 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. After completion of the Magnitogorsk stage of Deaflympics, which took place in the territory of Abzelilovo region of Bashkortostan, the Minister of Sports and Youth Policy RB Andrey Ivanyuta assessed how athletes from the republic competed at the event. He noted that despite the low results, Bashkir skiers did their best to win.
“The stage of the competition completed perfectly. Though the athletes did not reach the top ten, but they stepped forward. Competing at such games gives a lot. They were prepared more physically than morally. Now they have become more experienced. The Russian national team and athletes of the republic did their utmost. Good job,” Andrey Ivanyuta said.
Today, athletes of Bashkortostan were far from the medals in Giant Slalom. Denis Yaberdin after two races became the 19th and Marina Zvereva after a fall in the first round lost an opportunity to fight for the medals.
