UFA, 27 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. In Bashkortostan it is planned to build a steelworks rolling mill with capacity of 300 thousand tons of metal per year. This was reported by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov at a meeting with the Ambassador of China in the Russian Federation Li Hui.
“Today our talks between our Bashkir enterprise "Ishimbay steel" and Design Institute of Heavy Industry Qiao Liang are finished. The total cost of the project is 7 billion rubles, including almost 2 billion rubles — for the purchase of equipment in the People's Republic of China”, Rustem Khamitov said.
Currently designing works are conducted and construction may begin in late 2015 — early 2016.
According to Rustem Khamitov, the future steelworks mill is one of several joint projects that are created as a result of the Business Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan held in Jiangxi and Chongqing in November 2014.
