Musical-literary reading of "Eugene Onegin" will be performed in honour of the 175th anniversary of Pyotr Tchaikovsky in Ufa

On March 16, a concert "Looking through the Pages of "Eugene Onegin" Opera" dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great Russian composer P.I. Tchaikovsky will be held at the Concert Hall of Feodor Chaliapin in Ufa.
It will feature scenes and arias performed by soloists of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre — honoured artist RB Alim Kayumov (Lensky), Jan Leishe (Onegin), Vera Romashova (Olga and Nurse), honoured artist RB Oleg Kilmuhametov (Gremin) and Gulnara Valeeva (Tatiana).
Verses and poems by Pushkin will be read by the actor of the Bashkir Puppet Theatre Catherine Kochurova. A piano part will be performed by Associate Professor of Ufa State Academy of Arts Natalia Kochurova and her students from different years — Julia Garifullina, Bella Fatihova-Aiupova, Aliya Bagmanova. Musicologist Svetlana Platonova will tell about the opera and its author.
“The main goal of our concert is popularization of opera. The format of the musical-literary reading is useful to improve the cultural and educational level of students. We hope that fans of opera classics will enjoy the project related to the beloved and world-famous music of Tchaikovsky. We invite everyone”, the organizer of the concert, Natalia Kochurova said.
