USATU is developing scientific cooperation with the M. Gromov’s Flight Research Institute

 

UFA, 2 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Anatoly Kulakov, the Deputy Director General of Flight Research Institute named after M. Gromov (Zhukovsky) has visited Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU). As part of the State Certification Commission he estimated final qualifying works of students of the computer science department. In addition, he read a lecture on aircraft and flight testing organization in Russia to USATU students and teachers, and also answered questions about the Institute (LII).

During his visit, the representative of the LII discussed prospects of cooperation in various fields, including in joint research work with the Acting Rector of Aviation University Alexander Degtyarev.

Cooperation between USATU and M. Gromov’s Flight Research Institute started with inviting representatives of well-known research and testing aviation centre to participate in Career Days held in Ufa last spring. Last summer, several students of USATU passed externship and even got jobs at M. Gromov’s Flight Research Institute. In addition, in August 2014 during a traditional tour over the country's leading aerospace companies a group of the best students from USATU visited this scientific and technical centre.

The cooperation between the university and research centre continued in the autumn of 2014, when Alexander Degtyarev and the Director General of the Gromov’s Flight Research Institute, distinguished test pilot, Hero of Russia Pavel Vlasov signed a cooperation agreement providing for participation of leading specialists of the Institute in the State Certification Commissions.
