Residents of Bashkortostan purchased services for 218.8 billion rubles in 2014

The volume of paid services to the population of the republic amounted to 218.8 billion rubles in 2014, which in comparable prices by 0.4 percent more than in 2013. According to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, republic ranks the second on volume of services per capita.
In the market of paid service five types of services dominate: utilities, transport, consumer, telecommunications services and housing services. They are accounted for 70.8 percent of total paid services rendered.
The volume of services provided by cultural institutions significantly increased — by 17.4 percent compared with 2013 or to 1.8 billion rubles. Noticeably veterinarians’ services became more popular in the republic (by 16.2 percent, 396 million rubles).
