Ufa City Council Members spent on charity more than 30 million rubles for the year

Ufa City Council Members directed more than 30.27 million rubles to charity in 2014. This was announced at a year-end press conference by the chairman of the City Council Eugene Semivelichenko. This amount is not yet final basing on statements of only 17 deputies out of 36.
It is estimated that in the last few years funds that the deputies direct to charity, increased almost exponentially. In 2011, it was 6,368,000 rubles, in 2012 — 13,623,000 rubles, in 2013 — 20,163,000 rubles.
Eugene Semivelichenko also mentioned a few interesting facts of charitable activities. For example, one of the deputies allocated to charity a record sum of 17 million rubles last year, more than all other 16 deputies, which provided their statements.
In the spring of 2014 one of the deputies sent one million rubles to help the inhabitants of Crimea. A group of associates, including Eugene Semivelichenko, established jointly with the deputy of the State Assembly RB Alexander Artyukhov and JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" four new children playgrounds in the Inors neighborhood. In late December, three members of the City Council established a New-Year Tree and spent a New Year's celebration in Timashevo village.
