UFA, 20 January 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. 49.2 thousand people moved to Bashkortostan for permanent residence in 2014. During the same period 52.4 thousand people left the republic. These data of migratory movement of the population are given by Bashkortostan Statistics Agency. Thus, the migration gain in 2013 (plus 2,349 people) was replaced by migration loss in 2014 (minus 3241).
Interregional migration prevails. 43.2 thousand inhabitants of the republic moved to other regions of our country for permanent residence for a year, 8,2 thousand – to the countries of near abroad, 999 people - to foreign countries. 36 thousand residents of other Russian regions, 12.3 thousand residents of the CIS and 853 residents of far-abroad countries chose Bashkortostan for their permanent residence.
Statistics say that the migration balance with the neighboring countries remains positive (plus 4029 people in 2014). Population decline is associated with relocation of people to other regions of Russia (minus 7124) and non-CIS countries (minus 146).
The number of arrivals exceeded the number of those who left in the cities of Ufa, Neftekamsk, Salavat, Sterlitamak and nine municipal areas.
